To carry out the spirit of 18th CPC National Congress of furtherpracticing thescientificdevelopment concept with the strategic aims set in National Medium and Long-term Education Reform and Development Plan (2010-2020) and ECNU Medium and Long-term Education Reform and Development Plan (2010-2020) and to implement Views of Ministry of Education on Further Promoting the Development and Prosperity of Philosophy and Social Sciences in Institution of Higher Learning, we make the Program to Develop Philosophy and Social Sciences in ECNU (2011-2020) to enhance ECNU’s capacity of academic innovation and social services and to improve the international recognition of the University’s scientific researches.
The concrete measures of the program vary from increasing the overall investment in scientific research, expanding and improving the “Preliminary Research” system to set more major projects, awarding original researches to encourage independent study in critical fields, praising scientific achievements, organizing innovative research team and enhancing academic base development, building academic lecturing brand, creating strong academic atmosphere, etc. |
