The 2^nd Management Committee Meeting of Simian Originality Award was held in ECNU on March 25 with attendance of He Jian, head of Social Science Division of Ministry of Education, as well as members of the Management Committee from universities all around the country.

During the meeting, the 2013 revised draft of “Principles of Simian Originality Award” was agreed and the selection of 2^nd Simian Originality Award was started.

Simian Originality Award was set up in 2011 by ECNU to memorize the famous modern historian Lv Simian, who was once a professor of ECNU, and to promote the prosperity of humanities in China. The 1^st Simian Originality Award ended up with 4 honors and 1 nominated honor has won great applause in promoting the reforms of academic evaluation mechanism. In 2012, the Award was concluded in the statistical range of Social Sciences Annual Report of Ministry of Education because of its prestige and influence in academic society.
